	Bhatsa Dam: The dam built over Bhatsa River is referred to as Bhatsa Dam and the accumulated water gives rise to a lake. The 89 ft. high dam occupies an area of 3070 ha. This dam serves the purpose of irrigation, water supply and generates a power of 15 mW through hydro electricity. Bhatsa Dam is a major water supplier of BMC Mumbai.
