Pratimaji is believed to be 2200 years old. It was found by a farmer, he kept it in his house and allowed darshan to all jain and non-jains.
On advice of Ganivarya Shri Vidyanandji Maharaj farmer agreed to handover pratima to Jain Sangh with a condition that Mandir be built in his village. The present temple is built on the spot where pratimaji was found.
